What is woelke.us?

woelke.us is a private gathering place for the Woelke family. It started as a memorial for our father and grew into an everyday place to share photos, stories, and memories — visible only to approved family members.

Because this site holds real family photos and personal stories, it is invite-only. A site admin approves each new member before they can see any content.

Getting started

  1. Complete your profile. Go to Your account and add your display name, relationship note, and anything else you’d like family to know.
  2. Add yourself to the family tree. The family tree lets everyone see how we’re all connected. On the account page you can link your profile to a person in the tree, or add yourself if you’re not there yet.
  3. Share a photo or story. Use the Upload page to add photos, or write a story from the home feed. Both show up in the family’s shared feed.
  4. Browse this year’s recap. Every year the site collects the family’s top photos, stories, and events into a recap page. Check the 2026 recap to see how the year looked.

Common questions

How do I invite someone?
Members can invite family by going to their account page — but only admins can approve new members once they sign up. If you’d like someone added, let an admin know.
I signed up but I’m waiting for approval. What now?
An admin will review your account — usually within 24–48 hours. Adding a short “how you’re related” note to your profile speeds things up. You’ll get an email when you’re approved.
I didn’t get the sign-in email.
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it’s not there, go back to the sign-in page and request a new link. The link is only valid for a short time, so use it soon after it arrives.
Can I change my name or profile details?
Yes — visit Your account at any time to update your display name, relationship note, birth details, and bio.
Who can see what I post?
Only approved family members can see any content on this site. Nothing here is public. Admins can see everything; other members see the same shared feed.
How do I contact an admin?
Use the Messages page to send a direct message to anyone in the family, including an admin. If you don’t have access yet, ask the person who invited you.
